Peggy Ann Mccoy

Peggy Ann McCoy, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, in Columbus, GA.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Pinehurst Baptist Church, 4217 St. Marys Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, with pastor Tony R. Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held the night before, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907.

Peggy was born on August 26, 1936, in Canton, MO, Peggy's life was marked by her unwavering kindness and spirited nature.  As the beloved widow of the late William Edgar McCoy, Peggy's love story began shortly after she graduated from high school in Canton, MO. The young couple's devotion to each other and their shared values formed the bedrock of a family that would grow to include their daughters, Sarah, Victoria, and Rebecca. Peggy's life was a testament to her role as a nurturing mother and grandmother, as she instilled in her family the importance of love, laughter, and the simple joys of life.

Peggy's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she shared it with grace and enthusiasm, touching the lives of many young minds with her warmth and wisdom. Her commitment to her  community was further exemplified by her role as a 2nd grade Sunday school teacher at Pinehurst Baptist Church for many years, as well as her many years service alongside her husband at mission Columbus.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sarah Ethel and Horace Greely French Sr.

She is survived by her daughters Sarah Robbins (Willie Robbins), Victoria Holmes (William Holmes), and Rebecca Holder (Johnnie Holder, Jr.), 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
