Peggy was born on December 20, 1937 to the late John T. Hindsman and Mavis Pearl (Perkins) Hindsman. Her journey was one marked by compassion and excellence in the field of healthcare. Following her graduation from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in 1963, Peggy dedicated herself to a career defined by her nurturing spirit and skilled hands, providing comfort and healing to countless individuals.
Beyond her professional calling, Peggy's commitment to serving others extended to her community at Perimeter Church in John's Creek, Georgia, where she was an active and devoted member until her return to Columbus in 2021. Grounded in deep faith and love for her family, Peggy leaves behind a legacy of selfless service and unwavering faith.
Peggy was preceded in death my her her brother John T. Hindsman and sister Lillian Carol Edwards. Peggy is survived by her brother-in-law, David Thomas Edwards, and sister-in-law, Barbara Hindsman, and was a beloved aunt to her nieces Terri (Rick) Western, Janet Moudy Hindsman, Allison (Jamie) Gaither, and Ashley (Darren) Back, as well as a cherished great-aunt and great-great-aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Known for her generous heart and eagerness to serve, Peggy's impact on her church community and beyond was profound. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will forever inspire those who were touched by her gentle and caring nature.
