Paula L. LaPorte, 54, of Columbus, GA died Monday, November 21, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Cascade Hills Church 727 54th St. Columbus, GA 31904 with Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. LaPorte was born March 6, 1957 in Vero Beach, FL daughter of the late Paul Smith and Edith Gant Milton. She was the Senior Vice President at Regions Bank.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gerald J. LaPorte, Sr. of Columbus, GA, daughter, Nicole Bone (Stephen) of Columbus, GA, son, Gerald "Jerry" LaPorte, Jr. (Lisa) of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Louise Tarvin of Sebastian, FL, brothers, Richard Smith (Jeanette) of Vero Beach, FL and Steve Smith (Gloria) of Leesburg, FL, and one grandson, Cayden Bone of Columbus, GA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. Suite #710 Columbus, GA 31901.
