Paul Vernon Wharton, 65, of Mauk, GA died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Wharton was born April 13, 1951 in Homestead, PA son of the late William Tyler Wharton, Sr. and Emma Elizabeth Parkinson Wharton. He worked as a Steel Fabricator for Circle H. Welding.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Watson Wharton of Mauk, GA, sons, Freeman Wharton and Laurence Wharton, brother, William Tyler Wharton, Jr. (Pauline Joyce), and sisters, Lynda Schroeder (John B.) and Patricia McDill (Jackey).
