Paul A. Snyder, 76, of Columbus, GA died Friday July 28, 2017 at Rivertowne Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Morningside Presbyterian Church, 4142 Weems Rd., Columbus, GA 31909. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 2 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church before the service according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Snyder was born October 11, 1940 in Baltimore Maryland, the son of Paul and Magdalena Snyder. He worked as a manufacturing engineer, was veteran of the United States Navy, a member of multiple branches of the Masonic order, National Sojourners, Heroes of '76, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, a member of the Mount Hermon Lodge (Columbus, GA), and an ordained elder of Morningside Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Paul Snyder, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Gene Dry Snyder, brother, Roger F. Snyder (Jan), PA, and children Vincent Snyder (Donna), PA, Tamara Dunn (Christopher), PA, Charles Snyder (Sara), PA, Janet Roloos (Nathan), CA, Freya Gilbert (Michael), GA, and 9 grandchildren.
Those wishing to make donations in lieu of flowers may make a donation to the John B. Amos Cancer Center, Columbus Regional Health, Columbus, GA.
