Paul Porter, 79, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 11AM Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Porter was born September 15, 1930 in Columbus, GA son of the late Elmer and Bessie Porter. He served in the USAF and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Porter lived in Chicago, IL from 1957-1985 before returning to Columbus to retire.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Clifford Porter.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ernestine Powell Porter of Columbus, GA, his son, Kenneth Porter of Phoenix, AZ, and three sisters, Willine Boyett, Ellie Granger and Lanvanda Lantz all of Columbus, GA.
