Paul Benjamin Comer, known simply to all as Paul, passed away in Columbus, Georgia on August 28, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Paul was born on October 28, 1967, in Longview, Texas. Paul lived a life characterized by kindness, love, and selflessness. His death, which was due to natural causes, has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Our hearts are aching with intense pain of loss: wife, Tracy Comer, daughters, Ranee Palardy and Brittany Loafman, son Paul N. Comer, and fur sons, Koda Baby and Lord Loki, our miniature schnauzers. Paul always put his family first and loved with everything in him. He was one of a kind and will be forever in our hearts. He always worried if he was good enough. I told him on multiple times “You are MORE than good enough.” He was a real man, a gentleman, a dedicated father, and my everything.

Paul's journey of life was one marked by a strong work ethic and an unyielding commitment to helping others. Despite having only a GED, he climbed the ranks of his profession, serving as a supervisor, dispatcher, and technician. His colleagues often referred to him as the "one" everyone called for help and advice. Paul was a man who believed in the power of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. His professional achievements stand as a testament to his tenacity and unwavering determination.

In his personal life, Paul was a man of many interests. He was a gifted violinist, an avid Nascar fan, and had a knack for working on electronics. His passion for the violin was infectious, often inspiring those around him to appreciate the beauty of music. His love for Nascar was matched only by his expertise in electronics. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was to fix a broken gadget or to discuss the latest Nascar race. Who are we going to call for all our electrical advice? I’m sure if there is a way, he will guide us even now.

Paul's kindness and love were not confined to his professional and personal interests. He was a man who truly cared for others. His selflessness was evident in all aspects of his life. He treated everyone with respect and dignity, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. His generosity of spirit made him a beacon of hope and joy to all who knew him.

As we remember Paul, we are reminded of the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Paul indeed succeeded in this regard. His life was a testament to the power of kindness, love, and selflessness. He wanted to help everyone every chance he got.

Paul Benjamin Comer's life was one filled with love, kindness, and selflessness. He was a man who gave of himself freely and without expectation of return. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and were touched by his generosity of spirit. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life, remembering the joy, laughter, and love he brought into our lives. He made me smile everyday and we never went a day without a kiss and an I love you.

Paul's physical presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His life serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the power of kindness, selflessness, and love. As we bid him farewell, we hold onto the wonderful memories he has left behind, cherishing them as we continue our own journeys. Rest in peace, Paul. Your life was a gift to us all, and your memory will forever be in our hearts. Be free of all pain in Heaven my love.
