Patricia Gentry Wynn, 74, of Columbus, Georgia died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Spring Harbor.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2101 Wildwood Ave., Columbus, Georgia 31906, with The Reverend Dr. Shane Green and The Reverend David Thaddeus Haygood, Junior officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-1:30 PM in the fellowship hall at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Patricia Bickerstaff Gentry was born October 29, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia, daughter of St. Clair "Pete" Gentry and Mary Bickerstaff Gentry. She attended Columbus High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education, where she was a member of the Delta Upsilon chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She achieved The Curved Bar, the highest honor in Girl Scouts of America.
Patricia was active in the community volunteering for the Junior League of Columbus, the Columbus Museum, Sprig and Dig Garden Club, St. Francis Auxiliary, St. Paul United Methodist Church, and Spring Harbor. She loved watching University of Georgia football and taking art classes.
Patricia started her real estate career in 1988 and was named Rookie of the Year. She retired from Bickerstaff Parham Realty in 2016.
She was predeceased in death by her father, St. Clair "Pete" Gentry and her mother, Mary Bickerstaff Gentry.
She is survived by her two children, Clair Wynn Thayer (Philip) and Morris Philip Wynn III (Jenny), two grandchildren, John Philip Thayer III and David Gentry Thayer, sister, Alice Gentry Douglas and the father of her children, Morris Philip Wynn, Junior.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Paul Capital Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
