Patricia Dunn

Patricia (“Patti”) Lynn Dunn, 59, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully at her home following a brief illness on Monday, October 18, 2021.

Patti was born on February 20,1962 in Frankfurt, Germany, daughter of the late Howard L. Dunn and the late Lillie Ann Dunn. Patti attended Auburn University and Columbus State University where she graduated with a nursing degree and was a registered nurse. Patti was currently employed at Aveanna Healthcare where she was a nursing supervisor, and she had previously spent thirty years working as an R.N. in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. Patti loved nature, gardening, Auburn football, cooking and baking, and her beloved pets. Most of all she loved her family and friends dearly, and she loved making them happy with her delicious snacks and meals as well as her kind and generous nature.

Patricia Lynn Dunn was preceded in death by her sister, Jean McMongle. She is survived by her sister, Paula (“Dee Dee”) Skeen, brother-in-law, Barry Skeen of Hattiesburg, MS; two nephews, Brad Skeen of Hattiesburg, MS and David McMongle of Columbus, GA; niece, Elizabeth Mundy of Smith Station, AL; special friend, Kathy L. Mills of Phenix City, AL as well as a host of other family and friends.  Patti will be deeply missed by legions of loved ones whose lives she graciously enriched.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home, Columbus, GA with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 AM.  Memorial donations may be made in Patti’s honor to one of her favorite charities: Paws Humane Society, Animal Ark Rescue, or The Ronald McDonald House.
