Patricia Ellerbee Anthony, 76, of Buena Vista, GA died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Magnolia Manor of Marion County. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother David Chapman officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Anthony was born March 20, 1941 in Columbus, GA to the late Clarence and Lois Ellerbee. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Perry Jason Anthony; two brothers, Timothy Ellerbee and Bucky Ellerbee.
Mrs. Anthony was a member of Kendrick Baptist Church. She was the first female bus driver in Marion County, GA, who loved to paint, write poetry, and sing. She loved all animals, and loved to birdwatch as well. Mrs. Anthony was an avid antique collector.
Survivors include her children Debra Anthony Spann(Chris) of Box Springs, GA, Paul Christopher Anthony of Box Springs, GA, and Dale Hendrix(Dora) of Rutledge, GA; grandchildren, Lacey Johnson Allmond(George) of Midland, GA, Jeremiah Johnson(Jessica) of Mauk, GA, Christopher David Anthony of Fortson, GA; greatgrandchildren, Jaelah and Jonah Johnson both of Mauk, GA, Noah and Luke ALlmond both of Midland, GA.
