Patrecia Dianne Owens, known affectionately as Dee, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. Born on June 5, 1947, in Tallassee, Alabama, Dee was a strong-willed and determined woman who left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Friday, June 28, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends at 1:00PM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Dee was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry Lee Owens, her father, Carlton Hood, and her mother, Lorene Baker. She is survived by her sons, Billy and Ken Cobb; her sisters, Becky Hornsby and Brenda Lewis; her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.

Dee was not only a devoted family member but also a savvy business partner alongside her late husband. She had a head for business and was firm in her decisions, demonstrating her strength and independence.

Dee's life was one of dedication and love, marked by her enduring partnership with her late husband, Lee. Together, they navigated the world as business partners and soulmates, sharing an unbreakable bond. Dee’s love for her husband was unparalleled, and their passionate debates were a testament to their strong personalities.Above all, Lee was her everything; their shared adventures and dreams were the cornerstone of her happiest moments.

Her passions also included traveling across the country in her RV, dancing, and creating wonderful Christmas memories filled with family joy.A great cook and homemaker, Dee’s chicken and dumplings were legendary, and her love for her toy poodles was well-known. She was always there for her family, offering support and love unconditionally.

Memories of camping trips to Panama City Beach, Florida, and overnight stays after Christmas parties are cherished by her loved ones. Dee’s strong will and love for her family will forever be remembered.
