Oscar Prather Riley, Sr., 51, of Cusseta, GA died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his residence. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Meriweather officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Oscar was born June 10, 1970 in Newnan, GA son of the late Lawrence Junior Riley and Doris Ann Beach Grier.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Jean Amerson.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Riley of Cusseta, GA; son, Oscar Riley, Jr of Smith Station, AL; daughter in law, Madisen Johnson of Smith Station,Al; daughter, Karen Riley of Cusseta, GA; sisters, Froney Stegmiller of Sasser, Ga; Hazel Lott of Cusseta, GA; brothers, Lawrence Riley of Cusseta, GA, Tommy Riley of Mauk, GA; grandson, Eli Riley of Smith Station, AL; special friend, Bobby Guthrie of Cusseta, Ga; his nurse, Sequarielle Seay; numerous nieces and nephews.
