Oscar Belvin Hudmon, 82 of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. EST, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., EST at the funeral home, 613 14th Street, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Hudmon was born March 3, 1930 in Lee County, AL son of the late Marvin W. Hudmon and Adell McConnell Hudmon. He was a graduate of Auburn University and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Ruth Abbott Hudmon; son, Derrick Hudmon and sisters, Marlene Sykes and Pat Wisener.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy H. Hudmon of Phenix City, AL; children, Keith Hudmon (Marian) of Georgia, Darenda Evans (David) of Valley, AL, Chris Hudmon of Valley, AL and Cindy Logan (Jamey) of Opelika, AL; daughter-in-law, Kathy Hudmon of Wisconsin; step-children, Donna Bradley (Carl) of Smiths, AL and Jay Daniel (Cheryl) of Ellerslie, GA; brothers, Gary Dell Hudmon (Mable) of Florida and James Hudmon (Dot) of Valley, AL; sisters, Martha Pugh and Frances Gleaton (Herbert) all of Valley, AL; brother-in-laws, Bill Sykes of Salem, AL and Jessie Wisener of Tallassee, AL; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
