Opal Estes, 89 of Ellerslie, GA, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Gentiva Center at Franciscan Woods.
A Memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with the Rev. Mickey Adams officiating. The family will receive friends the same day at the funeral home from 1 to 3 o'clock p.m.
Mrs. Estes was born May 29, 1924 in Mantee, MS, daughter to the late Hugh Logan and Letha Mae Johnson Logan. She was a homemaker and attended Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Al Logan.
Survivors include son; Tommy Estes of Louisville, KY, daughter; Dee Carr (Bobby) of Ellerslie, GA, sister; Inez Poss of Nashville, TN, granddaughter; Traci Spurlock (Pepper) of Columbus, GA, Great-Grandson; Whitt Spurlock, Special daughter-in-law; Chris Estes, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Piney Grove Youth Fund, 20 HWY 315, Fortson, GA 31808.
