Opal Myrtle Deese, 72 of Phenix City died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2010 at her home, according to Colonial Funeral Home 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Deese was born January 29, 1938 in Opp, AL daughter of the late Mary Alice Johnson Neal and Louie Monroe Blair. She was a baker at Golden Donuts and was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Deese and son Christopher Deese.
Survivors include her daughter Suzan Winn and husband Zollie of Phenix City, AL; sons, Robert Bayne and wife Teresa of Ray City, GA, Richard Deese and honorary daughter Jeanette Deese of Columbus, GA and Clayton Deese and wife Susanne of Berlin, Germany; sister Cora Lee Hobbs and husband Cary of Upatoi, GA; brothers William Blair, Jim Blair, Johnny Blair and Jerry Blair all of Florida; first born grandson Randall L. Deese and 8 more grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
