Norton L. Edge Jr., 95, formerly of Phenix City, AL, passed away July 9, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene, KS.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, AL with Pastor Judy Hay officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Edge was born May 8, 1920, the son of Norton L. Edge Sr. and Bessie Daniel Edge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Edna Byrd Edge, daughter, Lynda E. Sturdivant, granddaughter, Wendy Godwin, two sisters, Floreine E. Rogers and Myrtis E. Barfield, and one brother, Jack Ellis Edge.
Survivors include husband of his daughter and best friend, Rick Sturdivant, grandsons, Wesley E. Sturdivant and Tyler Vanloo, granddaughter Misty Hernandez, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nephew, Johnny (Pat) Barfield, and nieces, Bonnie B. Hagerty and Elizabeth R. Witzke.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dickinson County 1111 N. Brady St. Abilene, KS 67410.
