Norma Jean Cope Fair, 48, of Phenix City, AL died Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM EST Friday, August 7, 2015 at Ladonia Baptist Church 3789 US HWY 80 West Phenix City, AL 36870 with Reverend Greg Hyche and Reverend David Howle officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Fair was born March 19, 1967 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Charles J. and Essie M. Lambert Cope. She worked as an Insurance Account Representative for Ken Currie State Farm and also worked in several retail stores. She loved children and her time volunteering at church. As a member of Ladonia Baptist Church she was a woman of strong faith and comfortably led many women's groups. She was a giving, helpful, merciful person who loved to sing.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Cope.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Mark R. Fair of Phenix City, AL, three children, Joseph Fair (Kathryn) of Port Charlotte, FL, Rachel Fair Wallace (Jason) of Phenix City, AL and Jason Fair (Berea) of Sarasota, FL, six grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Cope, Jr. (Mimi) of Tifton, GA, David Cope of Columbus, GA, and sister, Linda Cope of Columbus, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
