Norma Jean Ausburn

Norma Jean Ausburn, 68 of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Lawrenceville, GA.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 6, 2016 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Georgia 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Norma was born June 11, 1948 in Columbus, GA and had lived there all her life. She was the daughter of William Eugene and Velma Olene Ausburn, both deceased. She attended local schools and graduated in 1966 from Jordan Vocational High School. She worked for the City of Columbus Traffic Engineering Department as a Traffic Analyst retiring in 2103 after 33 years of service.
She was known for her love and caring of others, her devotion to family and her great recipes and cooking for family, co-workers and friends.
She is survived by two brothers, William Olin Ausburn of Lawrenceville, GA and Thomas Steven Ausburn of Columbus, GA. Other family members include several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
