Neal Alan Turner, 59, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016, doing what he loved; driving the tractor alongside his best friend and brother, Roy.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Neal was born January 1, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany. An army brat, his father's military service brought him to Columbus where he grew up alongside his sister, Pam and brothers, Roy and Glenn. He graduated from Carver High School in 1973. He married his wife, Louise, on December 22, 1980 and they raised their daughter, Nichole.
As an entrepreneur, he had many endeavors and was an active member of the business community. One of which was the restaurant Scooters that he and Louise passionately ran for 11 years. He impacted many lives and was described as a mentor and a leader.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and son.
Neal is survived by his wife Louise, daughter, Nichole (Chris Thomas), mother, Gloria (Al Fleming), sister, Pam (Ed Parker), brothers, Roy S. Turner and Glenn (Kim Turner), and nieces and nephew as well as an abundance of friends.
