Nan Lou Kennon, 96 of Columbus, GA died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Kennon was born July 8, 1915 in Brundidge, Alabama daughter of the late Edward Alexander Steed and Gussie Thrash Wilson. She was a self-employed sitter and a former member of Edgewood Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J Kennon and two daughters, Dorothy Williamson and Christine Brezeal.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Seils of Columbus, GA; brother, James E. Steed of Brundidge, AL; grandchildren, Shannon Seils, Jennifer Seils and Joshua Seils; great grandchildren, Trinity Farley and Jonah Seils, and several nieces and nephews.
