Nadine Blanton

Ouida Nadine Blanton, 93, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Aaron Baldridge officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held 2:00 PM at New Light Cemetery in Morgan, GA.

Nadine was born February 12, 1930 in Morgan, GA to the late Claude and Edna Blanton.  She was a teacher at Dougherty County School System and taught for 36 years. She taught Sunday school for over 50 years, loved to read the Bible and served in various capacities for the Free Will Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, loved gardening and playing games with her family.  Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her, step-mother, Erma Blanton, sister, Helen Gilchrist, brother, Whitey “Bubba” Blanton, nephew, Gene Paul, nieces Lynda Blount and Gwen Williamson.

She is survived by her niece, Connie Rogers (Chad), great-nieces and nephews, Cricket Lee (Dennis), Curtis Paul (Laura), Dannette Sumera, Terri Mora (Juan), Jimmy Deal (Carol), Mike Paul (Mary), Dustin Williamson (Shannon), Brent Williamson (Maggie), Dalton Rogers, Mckenzie Rogers, several other great-great nieces and nephews.
