Myrtle Lou Lee, 88, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Piedmont Northside Hospital.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Haynes Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Myrtle was born April 9, 1934 in Richmond Hill, GA to the late Olin C. Carter and Pearl Anderson Carter. She worked for the Muscogee County School District for 28 years in administration. She loved to garden, travel to the mountains and beach, and she enjoyed exercising. Myrtle was a faithful member of Living Grace Methodist Church where she was very active. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Hagan Lee.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami Lee Psalmond (Phillip Sr.) of Midland, GA, sons, Barry Lee (Lynn) of Buford, GA, Ronald Lee (Diane) of Columbus, GA, sister, Carrie Cannon (Jake) of Dothan, AL, Peggy McLain (Terry) of Phenix City,Al, Olin Lewis Carter “Ludy” (Sheri) of Baxley, GA, sister-in-law, Hazel Day of Miami Springs, FL, grandchildren, Crystal Brennan (Mike) of Cumming, GA, April Gibson (Ben) of Cumming, GA, Nicole Lee of Columbus, GA, Jeffrey Lee (Kristina) of Midland, GA, seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Riley, Carly, Caleb, Lukas, Aaron and Arlie.
