Myrna Eidson Roberts

Myrna Eidson Roberts, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
Myrna grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Grady High School and later from LaGrange College. Myrna met her husband, Larry B. Roberts, at LaGrange College. Larry is a retired United Methodist minister. During their ministry, they served faithfully at numerous churches across South Georgia. Myrna worked most of her life as a teacher and bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; her three children, Denise (Mike) Wilson, Julie (Mike) Bostardi and Ben Roberts; her sister, Mildred (Mike) McAffee; five grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Wilson, Brian Wilson, and Greg, Christopher and Samantha Bostardi; brother-in-law, Gary (Barbara) Roberts; sister-in-law, Jolene (Arthur) Tanner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia with Reverend Dr. James T. Pennell officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. An additional memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21 at First United Methodist Church in Waynesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Myrna's honor to First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, P.O. Box 838, Waynesville, NC 28786 or to the Lake Junaluska Assembly, P.O. Box 67, Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.
