Mrs. Winnie Ruth Carr Macon Qualls, 87, of Columbus, GA died Monday, July 5, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Frank M. Macon, Jr. and Rev. David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery with Pallbearers, Brent Carr of Smiths, AL, Keith Carr, of Box Springs, Carlos Carr of Smiths, AL, Kyle Macon of Phenix City, AL, Dustin Macon of Phenix City, AL and Frank Macon of Ellerslie GA.

Mrs. Winnie was born August 24, 1933 in Henry County, AL to the late Carlos C. Carr and Leslie Mae Money Carr. She retired from West Georgia Eye Care in Columbus, GA, where she was the bookkeeper for 15 years. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church for 44 years and loved her Victory Class at the church.  Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, SGT Frank M. Macon, Sr. and second husband, Russell P. Qualls.

She is survived by her children; Frank M. Macon, Jr. of Ellerslie, GA, Faron Macon of Columbus, GA, Bobby Macon of Columbus, GA, brother, Dwayne H. Carr of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Carla Iglesia (Jason) of Stuart, FL, Joshua Macon of Denver, CO, Tiffany Lepping (Mike) of Columbus, GA, Dustin Macon of Columbus, GA, Kyle Macon (Courtney) of Phenix City, AL, Allen Macon of Columbus, GA, beloved niece whom she loved like a daughter, Darlene Johnson (Timothy) of Woodstock, GA, devoted sister-in-law, Jean Carr (Billy) of Smiths Station, AL, great-grandchildren, Alexis Lee of Augusta, GA, Sierra Kelley of Birmingham, AL, Austin Lepping of Columbus, GA, ,Maverick Jose Iglesia of Stuart, FL, five great-grandchildren and numerous cousins from the Money Girls.
