Peggy J. Cope, 80, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Clayton Chesser officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cope was born January 24, 1937 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Walter T. Carlock and Ruby Mae Rodgers Westbrook. She was a homemaker and a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Cope.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Myers (Fay) of Columbus, GA; grandson, Brandon Myers (Cathy) of Lawrenceville, GA; granddaughter, Brooke Mainor (Bryce) of Columbus, GA; great-grandchildren, Landon Myers, Aiden Myers and Isabella Myers and Colton Hampton, sisters, Rita Ogletree of Smith Station, AL and Janie Wiggins of Columbus, GA and brothers, Ricky Westbrook (Rhonda) of Tennessee, David Westbrook (Dana) of Ladonia, AL, Larry Westbrook (Diane) of Columbus, GA and Wilber Leatherwood of Columbus, GA.
