Milton Earl Smith 75 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Friday, May 07, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was born December 30, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Henry Clayton and Quindoline Smith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam conflict and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved cars, racing and fishing with his boys. After his 40 year career at West Point Pepperrell Mill where he went from a hard working man, to a Paw Paw that enjoyed playing with his precious granddaughter.

Other than his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Goins, siblings, Ricky Smith, Durrell Smith, Sue Payne, Elba Smith and Robert Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Patricia G. Smith; children, Chris Smith (Cindy) of Fortson, Georgia, Mark Smith (Denice) of West Point, Georgia, sisters, Sue Yaughn of Columbus, Georgia, Martha Spurlin (Joey) of Atlanta, Georgia, grandchildren, Brett Smith (Brooke), Kyle Smith, Chase Smith, Chelsea Smith and a great-granddaughter Emilie Grace Smith. Mr. Smith is also survived by a sister-in-law Glenda Nevels.
