Milo Dean Richards

SFC U.S. Army (Ret.) Milo Dean Richards, 76, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 11AM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Vernon Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Richards was born September 5, 1933 in Willow Hill, IL son of the late George W. Richards and Flora E. Richards Russell. After serving twenty one years, he retired as Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army in May of 1973. He also served in the Vietnam War. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Everly.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Georgia L. Richards, daughters, Deborah A. Fraser of Greenville, SC and Darlene J. Richards of Sacramento, CA, son-in-law, Robert L. Everly of Columbus, GA, grandson, Sr. Airman Air Force Daniel R. Fraser, two loving pet companions, Princess and Mandy, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901.
