Mildred Kemp Sumner, 81, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Paul Thomas and Reverend Watson McKemie officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Sumner was born April 3, 1930 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Albert Flournoy Kemp and Claudie McDuffie Kemp. She retired after 25 years as a Sales Executive for Aflac. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Sumner of Columbus, GA, and two sons, Steven Ivey of Columbus, GA and Jeff Ivey of Midland, GA.
