Mildred R. Phillips, 95, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Thrive of Green Island with her loving family by her side.
A private graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery with Cy Dietrich officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Phillips was born August 15, 1926 in Abbeville, AL daughter of the late George Jackson and Bessie Strickland Jackson. She retired from Columbus Department of Public Health. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Phillips, Jr., daughter, Kay Phillips, sisters, Vera Castell (Clyde), Gladys Plant (Joe) and Myrtle Johnson (Bill) brothers, Reuben Jackson, Howard Jackson (Sara), nephews, Hilery Taylor and Rubin Starling, niece, Brenda Sue Johnson, great-nephew, Steve Taylor, in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans Phillips, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Phillips and Mr. Jack Phillips.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie McCrary (Tony), brother, Aaron Jackson, Sr., nieces and nephews, Jeanette Boulter, Juette Person, Pat Phillips (Jack), Gere Taylor, Aaron Jackson, Jr., great-nieces and nephews, Karin Milner (David), Jill Nix (Cody), Debbie Harris (Jim), Lisa Skinner, Bill Dietrich, Todd Taylor (Jenna), Alex Jackson, Thomas Jackson, and Frank Starling.
