Mildred Runette Cotney, 86, of Pittsview, AL died Friday, January 13, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Cottonton Baptist Church 59 Kite Rd. Cottonton, AL 36851 with Reverend Wesley Price officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Cotney was born September 16, 1925 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Robert N. and Mabel Boytt Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Cottonton Baptist Church in Cottonton, AL. She also loved fishing with her husband.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Dewey Cotney and her five siblings.
Survivors include her two sons, Royce Dale Cotney (Jamie Cole) of Midland, GA and Robbie Cotney (partner, Micah Eifrid) of Atlanta, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
