Mildred Watson Booth 98, of Columbus, Georgia died Monday, August 16, 2021 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Riverdale Cemetery with Dr. James C. “Jimmy” Elder, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the cemetery. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the graveside service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

Mrs. Booth was born February 03, 1923 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Fred Short Watson, Sr. and Annie Marie Chambers Watson. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Columbus, Ga. In her younger years, Mrs. Booth loved traveling, fishing and was a longtime ticket holder of the Masters Golf Tournament.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Booth was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Young Booth, infant son, Walter Lee Booth and brother, Fred Short Watson, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Gail Parker, Barbara Edwards both of Columbus, Georgia and Becky Gallops (Wayne) of Moline, Illinois, 10 grandchildren; Michael Chalverus, Jr. (Natalie), Alexandra Reinhard (John), Matthew Chalverus (Amber), Frances Connor (Skip), Lanier Coulter (Allison), Becca Kitterman (Jared), Ben Gallops (Carmin), Pamela Reu (Les), Elizabeth Edwards, Rob Edwards (Dana) and 18 great-grandchildren.
