Michiko Rocha, 85, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday September 8, 2016 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Father Finbarr Stanton officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Michiko was born May 12, 1931 in Yamaguchi, Japan, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morishige. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She loved to cook, garden and shop.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, SGM (Ret.) Richard "Rick" Rocha of Columbus, daughter Montajean Kiel (Randy) of Columbus, GA, sons, LTC (Ret.) Bobby Rocha (COL (Ret.) Susan) of Huntsville, AL, Richard Rocha (Elizabeth) of Hendersonville, TN, six grandchildren, Richard, Christopher, Joseph, Elizabeth, Austin and Bobby, and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Stephanie and Karis. She is also survived by her loving furbaby, Tucker.
