Major (Ret.) Michael Keith Norberg 77, of Columbus, Georgia died Thursday, December 03, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.
Services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907 with Rev. Daniel Shin officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery.
Major Norberg was born November 29, 1943 in California son of the late Myron and Elaine Norberg. He retired from the United States Army as a Major serving 2 tours in Vietnam and received the following awards: Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, Air Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Star and 1 Bronze Service Star. His hobbies included model trains, hot rodding cars, boating and fishing.
He is survived by his spouse (Myong Norberg) and his two sons (Eddy and Greg Norberg) and 4 grandchildren.
