Michael Newman, 43, of Columbus, GA died Monday, January 18, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Joseph Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Newman was born September 6, 1972 in Great Falls, MT son of Jerry Newman and Dorothy Davis Simons. He was a gentle man, movie enthusiast, and loved his family and friends whole heartedly. He was also previously employed at Best Pawn as an audio installer.
Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Deidre Newman, son, Nicholas Newman, daughter, Haley Davis, step-daughter, Ryan Nichole Randall, step-son, Andrew Lawson, brothers, Jerry Newman (Maureen), Edward Newman and Joseph Nichols (Brooke), sisters, Lisa Walker (J.R.) and Sheri Patterson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
