Michael Dean Mann, 66, of Columbus, GA died Monday, October 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Mann was born September 11, 1949 in Shelbyville, IN son of the late Loren Michael Mann and Edna Cherry Mann. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He later retired after 30 years of service from the Department of Family and Children Services. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Maple Ridge Golf Course and he was a proud alum of Purdue University.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Mann.
Survivors include his loving wife, Karen Dixon Mann of Columbus, GA, sons, Russell Mann (Christie) of Dallas, TX and Scott Mann (Liz) of Knoxville, TN, sister, Candy Durbin (Olin) of Rushville, IN, grandchildren, Cooper, Olivia, Copelyn and Alexander Mann, brother-in-law, Randy Dixon (Melanie) and sister-in-law, Kathy Dixon.
