Meredith Williams Adair, 87, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Muscogee Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with CLP Judy Hay officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Adair was born December 5, 1921 in Walker Co., AL daughter of the late J.H. and Minnie Laird Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Sherwood Presbyterian Church and the Charter Sunday School Class for over 60 years. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Adair, Sr., son, James H. Adair, Jr., daughter, Barbara Adair Vann, granddaughter, Holly Vann Remick, sister, Lanie Mobley, and brother, Wilford Williams.
Survivors include a sister, Margie W. Wetherington of Columbus, GA, granddaughter, Leslie Vann Lazrovitch (Phillip) of Louisville, KY, and great grandchildren, Kenneth Mott, Kayla and John-Michael Remick, and Ariail and Morgann Lazrovitch.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Sherwood Presbyterian Church 3100 15th Ave. Columbus, GA 31904.
