Maynard Braxton “Brack” Tarleton, 81, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023, peacefully at home.

Brack’s life will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Northside Baptist Church, 959 54th Street, Columbus, Georgia, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Brack was born February 17, 1941, in Montgomery, Alabama, to late Vivian Marguerite Tarleton and late Bennie Loel “Tee” Tarleton. Brack was best described as a people person. He never met a stranger and always had people laughing at his jokes or pranks in no time. Brack loved to fish and cook, especially for his friends and family. More often than not, the kitchen was filled regularly with fun and friends enjoying fresh catch and prepared meals. It wouldn’t go without mentioning that he was a lifelong die-hard A-L-A-B-A-M-A FAN!!

Bracks other hobbies included boating, gardening, riding motorcycles (back in the day), grilling, music, and talking.

If you met Brack, then you knew Brack, and right now, you are probably cracking a smile in his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Maynard Braxton "Bebop" Tarleton Jr.

Brack is survived by his four daughters, Connie Potter, Paula Pierce (Jeff), Laura Jo Key (Jerry), Amy Cox (Anthony), brother, Bennie “Bug” Loel (Lenette), nephew, Rayce Tarleton (Kay),11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
