Mavis B. Garrett, 93, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Phenix City Health Care.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roy White officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrett was born March 6, 1923 in Pike County, AL daughter of the late Oscar and Jimmie Register Barron. She worked as an Accountant and was a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Garrett and her siblings, Evelyn Harris, Percy Barron, Leon Eric Barron, Lindy Barron, Mary Mitchell, and Fannie Peacock.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
