Mattie Louise Murff, 92, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Murff was born January 28, 1919 in Yazoo City, MS daughter of the late Thad and Mattie Brown Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Bible Learners Sunday School Class, and also of The Ambassadors of the Georgia Power Company.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Murff, four brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bowman of Columbus, GA; sister, Lois Gary (Davis) of Yazoo City, MS; brothers, Fred Myers, Sr. (Bobbie) of Cleveland, TN and John Myers (Pauline) of Yazoo City, MS; nieces, nephews and many close friends.
