Mattie Lucile Brogdon, 86, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Brogdon was born November 1, 1923 daughter of the late Virgil S. and Maude Pearl McMackin. She retired from Bibb Mills as a weaver. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Brogdon.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Kendall of Columbus, GA, three sons, Jesse Petty of Melody Lakes, GA, Frank Petty of Columbus, GA and Richard Petty of Columbus, GA, and beloved granddaughter, Linda Jeanette Schaat of Columbus, GA, 23 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901.
