Mary Carolyn Smith, 80, of Phenix City, AL died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Cusseta, GA with Reverend Jonathan Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Smith was born November 14, 1934 in Cusseta, GA daughter of the late John Elby Smith and Eva Underwood Smith. She retired from Fieldcrest Mills and was Baptist by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Smith, brothers, J.E. Smith, III and Charles Smith, and sister, Joann Galloway.
Survivors include her children, Julie Edrew (Mike), David Smith (Anna) and Steven Smith (Elizabeth), grandchildren, Michael Edrew, Jr. (Brittany), Kristin Edrew House (Todd), and Dustin Smith, two great grandchildren, Gabriel Edrew and Hunter House, and beloved pet, Penny.
