Mary Jean "Jeanie" Reiney, 68, of Midland, GA died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lynn Meadows- White officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Reiney was born May 27, 1942 in Chattanooga, TN daughter of the late Herbert E. and Sally Beane Strange. She retired in 2006 as a Postmaster-Relief for the Midland Post Office and was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Claussen.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Reiney Mitchell (Mark) of Midland, GA and Beth Reiney Hudson (Trevor) of Cataula, GA, one son, Phillip B. Reiney (Melanie) of Midland, GA, one sister, Betty Schnider of Cape Coral, FL, one brother, Frank Strange of Chattanooga, TN, five grandchildren, Clay, Hunter, Jacob, Blake and Claire and a niece, Nila Jeane Burt of Waverly Hall, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice 100 Brookstone Centre Pkwy Columbus, GA 31904.
