Mary Frances Morris 77, of Columbus, Ga. died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James R. Herring officiating. Interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Morris was born March 13, 1937 in Greenville, SC daughter of the late Frank Lee and Lillie Anderson Garrison. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Morris was an active member of New Revival Christian Center where she served on the motherboard, pastor appreciation committee, church hostess, choir member, and Sunday School teacher. Mother Morris retired as a master seamstress for Jaycees and Continental Cleaners for over 30 years and a former member of American Business Women's Association for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years (Ret) SFC Napoleon "Legs" Morris.
To this union they had four children; Gretchen Manley (Ricky), Gloria Paden, Cathy Graves (Tom, Jr.) and Harold Morris all of Columbus, Ga., two brothers; Ulysses Garrison and Frank Lee Garrison both of Greenville, SC. Her love and devotion extended to her six grandchildren: Ricky Manley Jr., Jordan Manley, Sarah Graves, , Thomas Graves lll, Taylor Paden, and Myah Paden.
