Mary Mae Matthews, 91, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Paul Thomas and Rev. Bud Rupel officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Matthews was born April 11, 1928 in Hadenville, OH daughter of the late James Russell Blair and Clara Ellen Palmer Blair. She was a homemaker and a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Fountain City Twirlers, the Red Hat Society and the Senior Club.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Jeffrey and grandchildren, Johnny, Jeffrey and Terri Ann.
Survivors include her daughters, Penny Hogan of Panama City, FL, Barbara Ferry (John) of Bluntstown, FL, Beverly Smith of Panama City, FL, Debbi Pavlik of Columbus, GA and Judy Thompson of Columbus, GA, 17 grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
