Mary Ann Cappel Lauve, 90, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Mark Burnett officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lauve was born July 1, 1927 in Port Arthur, TX, daughter of the late John Ogden Cappel and Georgie Victoria Anderson Cappel. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and worked at JC Penny and Montgomery Ward. Mrs. Lauve was a great seamstress and an avid baseball and Atlanta Braves Fan. She loved the beach and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Edward Lauve, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Herbert Edward Lauve, III (Linda Lisa) of Columbus, GA; daughters, Becky Ann Ragsdale (George) of Carrolton, GA and Mary Juanita Simonton (Monte) of Cataula, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
