Mary Elizabeth Kurth, 89, of Upatoi, GA, died Friday, April 20, 2018 at her residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Gerard Schreck officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A Rosary will be said at 7:30 PM.
Mrs. Kurth was born April 7, 1929 in Riverside, IL, daughter of the late Willis Francis Biederman and Sara Elizabeth Martin Biederman. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for over 45 years and was a member of the Outreach Program. Mrs. Kurth was a Neurology Technician.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Kurth and brothers, James and John Biederman.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, 2 months and 2 weeks, Thomas Paul Kurth of Upatoi, GA; daughters, Anne Marie Tuck (James) of Merritt Island, FL and Loretta Wawak (John) of Hinsdale, IL; sons, Thomas M. Kurth (Darlonda) of Applegate, OR, Edward Kurth (Camille) of Princeton, IL, John Kurth (Anita) of Princeton, IL, Richard Kurth (Linda) of Walnut, IL and Jeffery Silberstorf of Lockport, IL; brother, Edward Biederman of Pheonix, AZ, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
