Mary Alice Tucker King

Mary Alice Tucker "Shorty" King, 89, died Friday, January 24, 2014.
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Gene Forehand officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of the Pines according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. King was born January 19, 1925 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Willie Lee Tucker and Pearlie Inez Grimes Tucker. She was a member of North Highland Assembly of God Church and retired as a Bank Officer from SunTrust Bank after 36 years.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie E. King; and her son, Stephen Phillip King.
Survivors include and her daughter, Patricia A. King Reavis of Columbus, GA; her sister, Clarissa "Runt" Tucker Love of Columbus, GA; her brother, Donald J. Tucker and his wife Cheryl of Flint, MI; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nephews and her long time special friend, M. Earl Jones of Fortson, GA.
Flowers will be accepted; but, those so desiring may make memorial donations to North Highland Assembly of God, 7300 Whittlesey Road, Columbus, GA 31909
