Mary R. Jerger, 86 of Columbus, Ga. died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Orchard View Nursing Facility.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, Ga.
Mary was born October 28, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph Jerger and Mary Jerger. She was a retired teacher with Muscogee County School District and she also volunteered for 20 years at Oak and Pine Manor nursing home in Columbus Georgia. As a teacher Mary loved her students and to volunteer her work with her church family. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her friends Udell and Mary Ellen Addison of Columbus Georgia.
