Mary Jo Easley, 70, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 22, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Tony Dickerson and Carl Whitfield officiating. An interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Easley was born September 1, 1944 in Arlington, GA, daughter of the late Eli Reliford Harper and Mary Lyza Whitfield Harper. She was a Librarian for the Ft. Benning Civil Service and the Columbus Library. Mrs Easley was a member of Pine Hurst Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Easley was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Easley, Sr. and granddaughter, Franchesca A. Easley.
Survivors include her daughters, Jacquinta Easley and Tammy McDaniel (Gary) both of Columbus, GA; son, Frank Easley, Jr. (Jacquelyn) of Memphis, TN; siblings, Eli R. Harper, Marion D. Harper, Michael A. Harper, Booker T. Harper (Virginia), Monroe G. Harper (Brenda); a special cousin, Dennis Turner; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
