Mary Jo Dorriety, 72, Columbus, GA., died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA., with Dr. Tom Neville officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dorriety was born on July 14, 1941 in Hartford, AL, daughter of the late Emma Lou Kirkland Bedsole. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 34 years.
Survivors include sons, Robert Steven "Steve" Dorriety of Columbus, GA, and Brian Scott Dorriety of Midland, GA.; grandchildren, Blayke Dorriety and Devyn Dorriety of Midland, GA.; long time companion , Joel Blount of Columbus, GA. and several cousins and many friends.
Flowers will be accepted; but, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31909.
